Trailer Park Girls focuses on the trials and tribulations of trailer park life from a female perspective and centers on the struggles, hopes and misadventures of four unique women each demonstrating their own brand of humour, sensitivity and values. This 30-minute made-for-television comedy series contains situations and contemporary subject matter intended for prime time scheduling and a semi-mature audience. No women will be harmed during the videotaping of this show.
Cherry Valley Trailer Park forms the backdrop for the series and that’s where our stories and wacky exploits of our main characters unfold. A confused, unsightly jumble of recreational vehicles the “Park” is home to our confused, sometimes unseemly but likeable characters. It’s a world on its own with unique values, mores, code of conduct and sense of justice, survival and above all humour. The “Park” and its residents could be considered “tacky” by both passing tourists or those living nearby in the small rural town of Cherry Valley. For sure...there's some funny people in the Park.
Four female residents of the Park, our main characters, hold our docucomedy together as they question, challenge and offer new insights decidedly from a woman’s point of view. Albeit comedic and humorous, the show indirectly address such subjects as gender differences, social barriers, prejudices and out-dated preconceptions. The Trailer Park Girls' personalities are as diverse as their choices of shoes, but their lives become intertwined and enriched by their camaraderie and the constant flow of situations and predicaments they encounter.
The show’s trailer park looms ominously up the hill from a cluster of buildings called Cherry Valley, a one-horse town having a population of 300 friendly people during the fall and winter months and a lot more unfriendly tourists in the summer months. The locals call the area “The Land Between” since it’s nether neither here nor there and town resident are neither coming nor going.
As silly and obscure as things may get, the show’s underlying messages expose struggles that touch the heart including current social issues, human conflicts or changing values affecting the lives of the women and men everywhere. Sooner or later the seemingly seedy environment of the trailer park draws out justice and fairness for the common good. The individuals who enter the unique and comedic world of the Trailer Park Girls provide a constant stream of new, entertaining and engaging storylines.

Diamond Entertainment in association with Gail Singer Films Inc. and Icons In Concert Inc. has developed a spicy, half-hour chick-com series called Trailer Park Girls. The show’s logline reads:
“A comedic peek at real world issues from the viewpoint of four wacky, raunchy women struggling against low life, wrong doers and social challenges in a unreal and zany RV world…unique, quirky and loveable, the Trailer Park Girls stumble through hilarious misadventures and conflicts leading to fun, laughter and trailer park justice.”
“The main objective of Trailer Park Girls is to be on the leading edge of funny and make audiences laugh,” says Emmy Award winner John Dimon, CEO of Diamond Entertainment. “The show is contemporary, relevant, side-splitting comedy infused with drama, conflict, tension and humorous resolution. The setting is the faux world of Cherry Valley Trailer Park and features four strong, outspoken, confident female leads all likeable in their own way but as different in character as their choice of shoes. They definitely are not “trash,” but sweet, sometimes sad, saucy, independent unladylike women who reflect the ups and downs of real life. The goal is to produce an on-the-cutting-edge, original, pop-culture television series that allows women to laugh, dominate and have their say on issues of interest to female viewers.”
Trailer Park Girls is intended for prime time, targeted at the 25-49 demographic and will be 100% Canadian content. A first draft script has been written and casting begins shortly. The Canadian broadcaster is to be announced. Cory Diamond, CEO Icons in Concert, and creator/producer/writer of the show states “For the last seven years Canadian audiences have enjoyed the crude, irreverent male-dominated comedy series Trailer Park Boys perhaps the most extraordinary cultural phenomenon to have emerged in Canada in the last decade. Now it’s time for a total sex change. We’re replacing jocks with modern day bra-burning babes!”
The strong female characters of Trailer Park Girls will rock ‘n’ rule. The female-dominated series can best be described as “Golden Girls Return 40 Years Younger,” “Sex and the City Goes Rural” or “Ugly Betty Does CougarTown.”
