UNFORGETTABLE VOCALISTS
RUDY MAYES, our Unforgettable headliner, is known as the man with a million-dollar smile. Blessed with a deep baritone voice, his music roots were formed in Gospel and Soul. As a youth he was inspired by the music of Louis Armstrong and Nat ‘King’ Cole. Rhythm & Blues also influenced his early career, then later, a style of Soul music emanating from Detroit (called Motown) dominated his music. He has starred in a number of musical stage shows, most notably as the male lead in Unforgettable – Songs of the Superstars.
The youngest of eleven children, Rudy’s first musical influences were everything from Gospel to R&B, and from Motown to Pop. Rudy started singing at the tender age of ten and soon gave way to a unique personality with his heart-felt performances. Known as the man with the “million-dollar smile” and blessed with a resonating baritone voice, Rudy has developed a unique crooner style reminiscent of the past, yet has stayed true to his own natural talent. Rudy headlines his own show 2B1. He has starred in a long-running stage show entitled “Unforgettable Brothers of Song”. He also performed in “The Kings of Swing” and “The Fabulous Crooners”. VANESSA COBHAM is a triple threat performer who has performed on stage in Dreamgirls, Chicago and most recently Beautiful-The Carole King Musical. Rock of Ages, and White Christmas: The Musical. She has also acted in multiple TV shows and movies including The Boys, The Porter, Madame CJ Walker, The Pacifier and A Novel Christmas. She performed for four years with the Toronto Raptors Dance Pack, and has appeared in movies, stage shows, tours, commercials, plus starred in the popular Broadway musical, The Lion King and, most recently, Sister Act the musical.
TASH LORAYNE is a seasoned vocalist with over 20 years of experience, has carved a notable niche in the music industry with her captivating performances and soulful voice. In 2015, she released her debut album, The Light That Lives, which garnered significant attention and was featured on CBC Radio. Her talent also shone through live performances on CP24 News and Breakfast Television. Throughout her illustrious career, Tash has had the privilege of supporting renowned vocalists such as Arkells, Divine Brown, Ryland James, Luciano, and Tyler Shaw. Her dynamic presence and vocal prowess have graced some of Canada’s largest and most prestigious stages, including the Budweiser Stage, Scotiabank Arena, Tim Hortons Field, and Roy Thomson Hall. Tash’s remarkable performances have been showcased at major events, such as the Grey Cup halftime show and the Juno Awards broadcast. Her ability to connect with audiences and deliver unforgettable performances continues to establish her as a formidable force in the music world. She is a swing vocalist with Unforgettable.
Swing vocalist HAILEY LEWIS, a professional dancer, singer, actor, is a dynamic performer who has appeared in many stage shows including Shrek (the musical) and most recently starred in the North American tour of the hit stage show Six (the musical). A dynamic bundle of talent, she has also performed both the Canadian and U.S. anthems at Blue Jays games.
